About Quorum
- Quorum is a new pre-submission peer review service provided by HarrisCo in 2019.
- Since its inception in 1996, HarrisCo has provided its world-class English-language editing service for academic, medical, and scientific research manuscripts under the motto ‘Making Available Korea's Outstanding Papers to the World’. For the past 18 years, we have edited about 40,000 papers every year for submission to renowned journals worldwide, thus totaling 700,000 papers all together.
‘Quorum’ means
- The word ‘Quorum’ refers to the minimum number of people that a committee needs in order to carry out its official business as it empowers it to make decisions.
- In other words it implies a group of ‘learned’ people work on topics and make decisions.
- Also, a ‘Q’ word is special. When applied to business they conjure, by association, the word ‘quality’, e.g., Quantas, Audi Q series and the Quattro. Q words lend themselves to calligraphy … they look good on paper, which reinforces the Quality theme.
